Review Policy

Books Reviewed

I review books for children and young adults, regardless of genre, with a particular interest in:

  • the weird, genre blending, and strange
  • speculative fiction/sci-fi/fantasy
  • middle grade and YA horror
  • transitional chapter books
  • funny books
  • narrative nonfiction

I welcome books from small or independent presses, but please do not contact me about self-published works.

Review Content

I will be critical of a book’s flaws and weaknesses while also suggesting the appropriate reader for any given book. To each book its reader, and to each reader their book, after all. Just because it’s not my cup of tea doesn’t mean it won’t be someone else’s.

please contact me using the contact form with any review requests.
