Cynthia Leitich Smith: “Leitich” is prounced Lie-tick. First a long “i,” then a short “i,” followed by a hard “k.”

    How funny, I always thought Eoin was pronounced Ian. I’m shocked to find out it is Owen!

    Another one is Siobhan Dowd, which I have heard is pronounced Shavon. I don’t know if that is true though.
